Contractor in a white hard hat, in warm light

For California contractor license schools

CSLB applications, finished by text.

An assistant under your school's name walks each student through CSLB's application, prepares their work-experience forms, follows up when they go quiet, and only pulls your staff in when a person is needed.

001See it work

One student, start to finish

What your student sees by text, and what your team sees, side by side.

An illustration of the assistant: a student texts through their CSLB application step by step while the school's staff view updates. Chapters: Your school enrolls a student; Work history, with CSLB's 4-year math; The student goes quiet. The assistant doesn't.; Private details stay off text; Every box checked, then confirmed; Signed, mailed, done.

Illustration with made-up data. Messages use the assistant's real wording.

003What it handles

The paperwork, one text at a time

Built around CSLB's actual application, not a generic form or chatbot.

004How it works

How it works

Your team enrolls students. The assistant does the back-and-forth.

  1. 01

    You enroll students

Send us the names and mobile numbers of students who agreed to texts on your school's form. We set everything up under your school's name.

  2. 02

    They text back

The first text comes from your school's application assistant. It says plainly that it's automated and not CSLB.

  3. 03

    It checks as it goes

Classification, experience, business name rules, every box CSLB asks for. Each question comes with a plain explanation if the student asks why.

  4. 04

    The student confirms and mails

They review every box, reply CONFIRM, download the filled-in CSLB PDF, sign in ink and mail it with their check. A checklist walks them through it.

  5. 05

Your staff step in only when needed

Short experience, a disclosure answer that needs a statement, a company application, a question it can't answer reliably: those come to you.

005Your team's view

Know who's stuck without chasing anyone

A simple view of every student's step, progress and last activity, with flags for the things that need a person. Your staff never see Social Security numbers or other private details.

  • Each student's step out of 8, and when they were last active
  • Flags that need a person, with the reason
  • Mark a flag resolved, or suggest a correction the student accepts by text
  • Private details stay private: staff see “not shown to staff”

Example of the staff view: a table of applications with reference, progress, path, whether help is needed, and last activity, plus an open alert about an experience estimate under 4 years.

006Careful by design

Built to stay accurate

What it never does

  • Tell a student they qualify. CSLB decides, and it says so.
  • Accept a Social Security number by text.
  • Sign, pay or file anything for a student.
  • Quote a fee or deadline that isn't in CSLB's published material.
  • Pretend to be a person or CSLB.

What it covers today

  • Sole owners applying for their first California license
  • One classification per application
  • Filing by mail with CSLB's official paper form

Handed to your staff

  • LLC, corporation and partnership applications
  • Adding a classification, exam waivers
  • Students who need help in Spanish

007Pilot

We're onboarding our first schools

We're looking for a few California contractor schools to run a short pilot with a small group of students. We set it up and run it, and we measure the results with you.

  • 6–8 weeks with 10–20 students
  • Set up under your school's name
  • We track how many reach “mailed”, staff time per application, and any CSLB returns
